After Hours 03:45
We are mountains in the distance impossible at first We are fantasies of liquid to a body full of thirst We are sick of being sick when our bodies want to run So we’re breaking into ballrooms and inviting everyone we are waking after hours we are rising from the dead what’s been keeping us from living is the danger in our head we are dancing with our shadows we’re enveloping the sky in the hours after hours we live before we die We are coming to crescendo then dropping to our knees We’re the boiling point of truth when the world’s about to freeze We might get hit the hardest when the day comes crashing down But We’re the seeds left on the surface moving deeper under ground we are waking after hours we are rising from the dead what’s been keeping us from living is the danger in our head we are dancing with our shadows we’re enveloping the sky in the hours after hours we live before we die © Prom Dress Publishing

One 04:33
Standing tall I still can not see the view Then the sky opens when I stand with you I can see it now I can tell you how to save the world All along the road signs of life flash by Every door that opens a dream comes out to fly I can see it now I can tell you how To save the world When I put my arms around you The consequence is clear There’s a million ties that bind us But only one that keeps us here One, one, one that keeps us here One, one, one that keeps us here I'm counting you on one hand and me on the other Held close we are each other can you see me now Can you tell me how to save the world Every story you tell me has a scene I'm in Every place you come from feels like Ive been I can see you now I can tell you how to save the world When I put my arms around you The consequence is clear There’s a million ties that bind us But only one that keeps us here One, one, one that keeps us here One, one, one that keeps us here It's easy to point fingers - separate our parts But you can't deny the rhythm of a billion beating hearts just listen - nothing sounds as clear We are one, one, one that keeps us here.

Curiosity 03:12
all the pretty horses all the pretty ladies all the cute babies it all drives me crazy I'm always pulled in what's happening where this world is so beautiful it's hard not to care so it's hard not to notice that something is wrong it's like a light went out it's like something is gone or maybe just hiding to force me to look life’s got to give back something it took under the weather under the covers over my head over my troubles into the wreck to see what still shines it's pieces of me from all different times i've been hungry for life i've been craving it all but i've skipped a few meals I think I've taken a fall maybe it's mid life maybe it's life but it doesn't feel like me Oh where oh where is my curiosity my dad was the scientist his work never done he said if he stopped asking questions - then ignorance won so I'm asking now this infinite space am i moving ahead or am i running in place? (instr) if the sky were to fall i'd want to hold out my hand I'd want to catch all the stars as they land if you were to tell me to go disappear I pull you along and pull you so near 'cause maybe we need to go into the - black c - e to welcome back curiosity

IF What you can’t have is all that you see Sounds like a sad sad recipe If every thing feels so out of reach -What’s left to hold you at night? I’m a believer in pulling apart The things that feel good from things that are dark It’s a decision not a religion It’s inside of me. The zen of dirty is not about clean It’s about finding the comfort that hides in between It’s not about pointing when somebody lies But putting a mirror up in front of their eyes If some body cheats it’s not about laws It’s giving them something beyond their own cause And don’t go screaming when somebody steals Just bring them on back to how love feels Can count on one hand the things that are real The moments we have the moments we feel In the end that’s all that’s true Take it to heart take it to bed Empty your troubles empty your head Give yourself a break

Red Flags 04:44
Oh little girl You got a way to go a way to go a way to go And on your way you’ll see there’s no one way to way to go Promise me you’ll right and left and turn and walk away when you think you should Cause out there - there’s things I’d wash away if I could (Noa ) Oh I have seen More than I think you’d ever want to know that I’ve seen Some times I feel I’ve been places that I’ve never been I promise you I know things aren’t always black and white I already know that when things feel wrong something isn’t right Red flags aren’t always red Sometimes they might be whispers deep inside your head Warnings don’t always sound alarms Sometimes you hear them loudest in someone else’s arms Truth is no one gets a good sleep With out a prayer for your soul to keep Oh little girl oh little girl Around every corner there are mysteries May you discover all the magic with out any of the miseries I’ll discover all the mysteries And only you know the ins and outs of your own heart My own heart Keep it strong may any breaks give you wisdom for a brand new start I am strong

In the Dark 03:54
I am falling into sleep but I got promises to keep Just like the Arab spring I need a little awakening... Sometimes a mirror’s not enough – another face that’s had it rough Can tell stories that turn my head around and they Burn a whole in my heart Hot enough to tear my soul apart Just in time to save me from living in the dark Tell me what’s going on between what’s left and what is gone The look that’s on your face with lines I want to trace And so I meditate on you like a color that is true To any feelings that concern all the things in life that Burn a whole in my heart Hot enough to tear my soul apart Just in time to save me from living in the dark Does anyone does anyone want to leave here? We’re all on borrowed time just to be here Oh but I’d rather get hit hard Oh but I’d rather get hit hard Than stay living in the dark And if I had a perfect day I’d probably send it on its way I get far better return for all the things in life that Burn a whole in my heart Hot enough to tear my soul apart Just in time to save me from living in the dark

Sex 02:34
Baby these are hard times Maybe we should stop time Baby we should make time to have sex Let me take you under Let me work you over Let me help you forget That baby these are hard times Give me your hands What are they doing over there Move all over me Then stop them right there Give me your tongue – it only speaks to me Not with a single word – just sex Baby these are hard times Maybe we should stop time Baby we should make time to have sex It’s a word it’s a phrase it’s a crime it’s a craze it’s what everyone wants Its so good it’s so bad it’s what you once had it’s what everyone wants To have sex, to have sex to have sex Baby these are hard times Maybe we should stop time Baby we should make time to have sex

about

These 12 theme songs are RAW, UNEDITED, ORIGINAL DEMO VERSIONS. I wrote them over a period of 7 years for a storytelling series in Los Angeles (SPARK). The producers gave me a word or phrase to write about. No other direction was given. Off I went...

These are all first takes, verité - recorded in open environments, on my phone, or on a computer. Some made it to a primitive mic set up.

Thanks for tolerating all kinds of noise - lawn mowers, birds, a dog snoring, things dropping. I cleaned up the files as best I could. It's reality music at its best!

One day, I may find time and some collaborators to produce these. But in the mean time - enjoy! And thanks so much for listening... D
